We regret to inform the Michelson IP community of the untimely passing of our friend and colleague, David Kline. He passed away on November 7 after a long and courageous fight against esophageal cancer. He was 75 years old.
David was a Pulitzer Prize-nominated IP expert, gifted writer, and thought leader. He was the Principal Author of the our foundational textbook, The Intangible Advantage, which launched, and remains a pillar for, the Michelson IP initiative. We at Michelson 20MM have been honored to work closely with David since 2013, and will remember him most for his humor, contagious enthusiasm, and ability to excite the world about intellectual property in the new economy. His impact on our work is beyond measure and he will be greatly missed. Thank you, David, for all that you have given.
David is survived by his wife Sarah and two children, aged 19 and 16. We send heartfelt condolences to his loved ones.
